Week 38

How far along: I am 38 weeks preggers. I had "the talk" with my Dr. She said that if I go into labor naturally in the next couple days to keep it natural. BUT if Baby McD doesn't come anytime soon... We have a C Section planned for TUESDAY 4/8/2014. He has an official eviction notice. I get to meet my baby within one week. HOLY CRAPPPP.

How big is the baby: according to the ultrasound we had, baby McD is right around 9 lbs.... yes, I said that right, 9lbs. Like almost 10, like an adult size bowling ball

Total weight gain: I have gained right around 15 lbs from day one. Im surprised I've done that well especially with the number of chocolate doughnuts, and the amount of queso I have crushed in the past 9 months.

Stretch Marks: Thanks to my nightly cocoa butter regiment, I can successfully say that I have avoided stretch marks throughout this pregnancy!

Best moment of the week: Talking to my Dr and getting a plan together to meet my baby. FINALLY.

Sleep/Dreams: Sleep is becoming difficult. Tossing and turning throughout the night. The nurse says its my body naturally preparing for getting no sleep once he comes... Mother Nature, please just let me sleep these last couple days so Im fully rested when this kid comes.

Gender: Team Mustache

Labor Signs: A couple random contractions but nothing in sequence.

Belly Button In or Out: Flat. JJ thought it popped out and he may have had a minor freakout, but we're good. It hasnt popped yet.

Wedding Rings On or Off: On. Although with all this walking, my feet are a little swollen.

What I’m looking forward to: Meeting my baby. My family growing my one. Welcoming this little guy into my life. :)  (I just watched the HIMYM series finale, so Im a little emotional right now. Pardon the sappy-ness)

Week 37

(PS thats not my belly button popping out. Thats a dot from the white board. Trust me, if that was my belly button, I would have complained about it by now.) This week at work, I started training my fill in while Im on maternity leave. Makes things a little crazy but I think they got her in at a good time so she is prepared for when I leave.

How far along: 37 WEEKS! Baby is technically considered full term, which means, his all his organs are developed including his lungs. So if he was born tonight, he should be able to breath on his own.

How big is the baby: The app says that a normal baby at 37 weeks is 20 inches long and right around 7lbs. My child on the other hand, I have a feeling may be exceeding those numbers.

Total weight gain: I think last week I was at 12.5lbs gained. My appt is tomorrow so I don't have an update for this week, but if I had to assume, maybe another pound or so.

Stretch Marks:  Nope and this weeks picture proves it! hopefully now I'm in the clear. The other night I got all tucked in bed, which is no easy task mind you and then I realized... I forgot cocoa butter and I KNOW the one night that I dont do it, I will wake up with one, so I got out of bed to put it on

Best moment of the week: JJ and I had a very successful weekend. Nesting phase was in HIGH gear, for both of us. We put the carseat in my car, gardened, cut down a tree, cleaned out all the boxes and crap, went for a walk on Saturday (the weather was beautiful), gave the dog a bath, vacuumed, etc. All this makes my OCD happy.

Worst moment of the week: This little man has the strongest legs ever. He kicks the crap out of me and it hurts. I can see his footy sticking out like 2-3inches by my ribs when he is stretching. I usually just push it back in. HA

Sleep/Dreams: It usually takes me a few minutes to find the perfect position. But when I do... DONE, out like a light. There might be some tossing and turning and the random potty trip, but ok for the most part.

Have you started to show?: My belly is so big, it looks fake. Like hollywood could mold it and make a legit costume!

Gender: Team Mustache Labor Signs: I keep having random tightening in my stomach, I dont think they are contractions. Mommy said "If they are contractions, YOU WILL KNOW," so I think Im good. Im just really hoping that my water doesn't break at work, that would suck!

Belly Button In or Out: Flat.

Wedding Rings On or Off: On. (Funny story, one of my coworkers didnt realize that this section was asking about swelling. She thought it meant, "throughout your pregnancy have you driven your husband to divorce with your crazy hormones." HAHA I love her)

What I’m looking forward to: Im anxious about my Drs appt tomorrow. She is going to let us know how the ultrasound looked and I always love hearing his little heartbeat.

36 Weeks

I love my shirt! Erica got me this shirt for Xmas, and of coarse I cried when I opened it, like the weeny I have been. Now that my stomach is huge, I can finally wear it! Its so cute though! You cant really see it, but there are rhinestones all over the letters :)

How far along: 36 Weeks! It has amazed me, looking back, on how quickly this has gone by. I cannot believe there are only a couple weeks left

How big is the baby: SO, we had an ultrasound today. Before the kid was in the 95th percentile and 3 weeks bigger than average. NOW he is 98th and 4 weeks bigger than average. Yes folks, that means my child is the size of a 40 week old baby. The Dr is going to look at the ultrasound and come up with a plan of action because "my body cant handle a 10lb baby."

Total weight gain: I had a check up appointment yesterday and they weighed me. I have gained 12.5lbs since day 1.

Stretch Marks: Nothing. One of the things that I am very thankful for! Next week, I'll do the bare belly (pending still no stretch marks) so you can see how big my belly has really gotten.

Best moment of the week: My Baby Shower was amazing! My family spent alot of time planning/driving/cooking everything and it turned out really nice. I got to see some old coworkers (yup, cried when I saw them!) and family drove from many states away.

Worst moment of the week: So I had (what now I know to be) my first contraction. I thought the kid really really did not like me chugging a glass of milk. Wasn't really fun, but it was just one and it was only for like a minute.

Sleep/Dreams: The normal nightly battle of getting comfortable, then baby not being comfortable and me shifting, then him not liking me shifting...

Have you started to show?: Yup, even strangers are coming up to me and saying congratulations, when are you due. It takes me a second to realize what they are talking about. opps

Gender: Still a boy!

Labor Signs: Just that one contraction the other day. At my checkup appt yesterday, the Dr said that I was 50% effaced (for those who don't know what that is, google it, Im not describing it. lol) She said that I am ahead of schedule in that for a first time pregnancy. Hopefully this baby will come early! Im ready for him to come

Belly Button In or Out: Belly button is flat... I can see both holes from my previous belly button piercing. Keeping fingers cross it doesnt pop. JJ might freak out.

Wedding Rings On or Off: On. I haven't really experienced any swelling thankfully. My shoes still fit out. I still have ankles and my fingers have maintained there size.

What I’m looking forward to: Im anxious to hear what my Dr has to say about my ultrasound!

Week 35

How far along: 35 Weeks!

How big is the baby: My app says that Baby McD is 19 inches 6lbs. He have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday to see how big he really is. The normal growth is 1/2 lb a week at this point.

Total weight gain: I haven't weighed myself this week, last week we were at a total of 12lbs gained. We have a check up appt next Monday. I think that I have gained some water weight in my stomach though.

Stretch Marks: Nope! One of these weeks I am going to post an actual picture of my belly to prove it!

Best moment of the week: We booked a Daycare! I had to fill out a form with Baby McD's full name, first time ever... I was definitely having a moment, I might have almost cried, dont judge!

Worst moment of the week: A coworker telling me that I have crumbs on my belly... *sad face

Sleep/Dreams: Same as last week. No crazy dreams. I think I've found the perfect position to go to sleep in. If only I could stay asleep all night. I wake up multiple times just tossing and turning.

Movement: He likes doing big slow movements. He stuck his foot out the other day and it hurt. JJ sat there and tried to push it back in.

Have you started to show?: This question should be how many time do you run into things with your belly... Today, two times. Opps

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button In or Out: In

Wedding Rings On or Off: On

What I’m looking forward to: This weekend is the Baby Shower!!! Im excited to be with family and celebrate little man entering the world!

Week 34

Nice hair... right? :)

How far along: 34 Weeks! 6 weeks max til I get to meet my little man. :)

How big is the baby: baby is big. He is still around 18inches long and 5.5lbs But in my check up appointment this week the Dr said that my stomach is measuring two weeks bigger then average. We have an ultrasound scheduled in two weeks to see how big HE is!

Total weight gain: At my las appt I gained a total of 12lbs. That is mostly baby and water (or thats my story and Im sticking to it!)

Stretch Marks: Still holding strong with no stretch marks!

Best moment of the week: It was really exciting to meet with the daycare lady, JJ and I like her, I think we are going to pick her :)

Sleep/Dreams: Sometimes getting comfortable cant take a little longer than normal. And now, 3am wake up potty breaks are becoming a regular occurrence.

Symptoms:  Baby is starting to get really big! When I lay on my side I feel him settle to the side and if I rotate he gets cranky, he doesn't like to be shuffled around.

Movement: oh yeah! and he is taking my ribs with him! I swear he is trying to push his way out through my stomach

Have you started to show?: Did you not see the picture?! And now is when he is "rapidly" growing, oh my!

Gender: Team Blue

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button In or Out: In

Wedding Rings On or Off: On

What I’m looking forward to: Im looking forward for the baby to "drop." apparently then I will be able to breath and walk up and down the stairs without feeling like I am going to pass out

Week 33

This week we had our prenatal class, oh yeah, the one where they show you all the good stuff... It was a good class though, helpful tips and advice from a nurse who's been doing this longer then I have been alive. One thing she said. "Im not going to tell you that you need an epidural, but they will become your best friend if you do get one." **good to know

How far along: 33 Weeks!

How big is the baby: Baby McD is aprox 18 inches long and right around 5lbs.. around the size of a Honeydew, I dont know if I want a honeydew inside of me! And my stomach is as hard as a honeydew,

Total weight gain: Since day one, I have only gained 12lbs. Dr said thats good and she doesnt want me to gain any more than 20lbs... that weight though, is ALL baby!!

Stretch Marks: Nope :)

Best moment of the week: It was really nice to see my Daddy and sister this past weekend. Its strange to think that the next time I see them, Baby McD will be here! AHHHH

Symptoms:  Well, throughout some of the day, I have whats called "Beached Whale Syndrome." Where your belly just gets in the way and you feel like there is no way around it. Thank goodness I don't waddle yet... I've been told thats coming though. Yay!

Movement: He is a Rolly-Polly! Big movements and sometimes painful, but it will pay off when he gets a scholarship as a Defensive Linemen for being so strong! haha

Have you started to show?: My belly is out of control! Its just large, hard and in the way. It was real awkward when I painted my toes this weekend! and shaving my legs... I should get an award for that!

Gender: "You're my boy, Blue!"

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button In or Out: In

Wedding Rings On or Off: On

What I’m looking forward to: We have a check up appt on Friday, I always love listening to his heartbeat.

Week 32

How far along: 32 Weeks!

How big is the baby: My app says Baby McD is 17 inches long and about 4lbs. 17 inches is really long, that explains why my stomach is reaching its own zip code!

Total weight gain: I only gained .8lbs from my previous appt to my most recent. The dr is happy with that number... he better be, I think thats a freaking record!

Stretch Marks: Still nothing! Knock on wood, were holding strong. Cocoa Butter continues to be the nightly regiment.

Best moment of the week: I thought it was cute, last night Cadi was snuggling me in bed and she rested her head on my stomach. She probably has no idea whats going on, but she knows somethings a coming.

Worst moment of the week: Two nights ago I slept like poop. I think I literally woke up every 45mins-1 hour tossing and turning

Symptoms:  With him getting bigger and bigger, he's starting to push on my lungs which makes breathing sometimes difficult. Stairs are becoming an enemy

Movement: He keeps getting stronger. I can see him move through my clothes now, still kind of weird to see

Have you started to show?: Um yeah! So I had this shirt on for week 19, i think and this shirt is definitely reaching maximum capacity. HAHA

Gender: Baby McD is on team bowtie

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button In or Out: In

Wedding Rings On or Off: On

What I’m looking forward to: Mom, Jamie and Daddy are coming to visit this weekend! We're going to make Apple Pie and do our nails and all sorts of fun stuff. Im excited to see them!

Week 31

How far along: 31 Weeks! We are in the single digits folks… This baby is coming and the Dr said be prepared. Oh dear… I don't think Im ready for this. haha

How big is the baby: My app says around 3.5 lbs

Total weight gain: I only gained .8 lbs from my last appointment two weeks ago. Booyah!!! Take that!

Best moment of the week: I think seeing the kid move last night was pretty neat. I was finally able to record him moving! He looks like an alien trying to escape! Its neat sharing that video. Another good moment… Shoppers doughnut. need i say more??

Worst moment of the week: Every morning I play this game with myself… do I have to pee that bad? Do I really want to leave this warm bed and possibly loss my spot to a fur ball just to go potty. Sad, but true.
Movement: He is moving the same amount of time, but he is getting so much stronger. I swear he tried to kick his way through my stomach the other day. It was a little painful and I tried to push it back him, he did NOT like that.

Have you started to show?:  Yup! Im surprised my belly is actually sticking out of my clothes. Its close, I have to wear undershirts just to make sure. I did have to cave in and buy a couple maternity shirts. The pants are still good. Even though 2 out of 3 buttons may be buttoned in this weeks photo. :)

Wedding Rings On or Off: On :) I haven't really noticed any swelling, in my feet or fingers, nothing.

Stretch Marks?: Nope! I had to buy another bottle of cocoa butter and the smell bothers me, but it is so worth it.

What I miss the most: Well, i miss being able to bend over. There is a big difference between the bend and the squat (which I have mastered). I do look a little goofy putting my shoes. Thank goodness for slip ons :)
